- Student at a practical course as part of professional or university studies
- Trainee in the operation or maintenance of equipment or machines made in Brazil
- Technician, volunteer, specialist, scientist or researcher who will work for government, private or non-governmental institutions, under a treaty of international cooperation
- Amateur athlete under 21 years of age traveling to Brazil for intensive practice
- Person seeking medical treatment
- Paid seminar or conference attendees
- Volunteer or social worker without employment contract and payment, for community work or to render service to a religious institution

- Hartford Consulate (Connecticut, Rhode Island)
- Houston Consulate (Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mex., Oklahoma, Texas)
- Los Angeles Consulate (Arizona, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, and in California, the counties of Imperial, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura)
