Brazil Temporary Visa Hartford Consulate

The Hartford Consulate serves the States of Connecticut and Rhode Island.

All Temporary Visa holders may only stay in Brazil for up to 90 days, regardless of nationality or the length of time that the Visa is given for.  You can extend the 90 days by going to the Federal Police in Brazil.  They can give you an additional 90 days on your visa (180 day per year maximum).

Get the Required Documents

Go to the Hartford Brazilian Consulate site and gather all of the required documentation.

Visa Fee
  • Check to see that you have gotten a USPS (United States Postal Service) money order in the correct amount.

Submit Materials
  • If you wish to send your application by mail, you must be a resident of the consular jurisdiction, which includes the states of Connecticut and Rhode Island. In addition, your signature on the application and all copies of documents must be notarized.
  • You can also make an appointment to apply in person.
