If you are traveling to Uganda as a tourist, you might need to get a tourist visa depending on what country you are from.

I’ll break everything down for you below about how to go about getting the Uganda Tourist Visa.

  • Visa required for U.S. citizens before you go to Uganda:  Yes.
    • A passport valid for six months beyond the date of entry, visa, evidence of yellow fever vaccination, as well as a polio vaccination for children younger than five are required.
    • Visas are available at Entebbe Airport upon arrival or may be obtained from the Embassy of the Republic of Uganda.  It is recommended to get a visa before you go to Uganda.
  • Visa required for non-U.S. citizens before you go to Uganda:
    • Check this list to see if you need a visa before you go to Uganda.

  • If you’re inside the U.S: You have the Embassy of Uganda in Washington D.C.

  • People in the United States can see required documents here.

Visa fee
  • Visa fees might vary depending on where you apply, so go to the website of the Embassy or Consulate you found in Step 1.

Submit materials
  • Submission instructions will vary from consulate to consulate and embassy to embassy, so you will need to check the submission instructions at the website of the embassy or consulate you found in Step 1.

Receive your visa

Congratulations!  The Embassy or Consulate of Uganda will give to you your brand new Uganda visa.
