Turkey Residence Permit
All foreigners wishing to live and/or work in Turkey are required to obtain a residence permit within one month following their arrival in the country and prior to the commencement of their work. There is a lot of good information at this link, but I’ve listed the quick and dirty steps below.
Apply for a Residence Permit at the Alien’s Branch of the Local Police Department (Emniyet Mudurlugu Yabancilar Subesi) within 30 days of your arrival in Turkey.
Permits are a matter of formality and are available through the Foreigners Department of the Provincial Security Directorate General located at Migros Yani, Hipodrom, Konya Yolu, Ankara, or at local Security Directorate throughout Turkey.
