Taiwan Visa General Information and Eligibility

- Visa required for U.S. citizens before you go to Taiwan: No
- U.S. citizens can get into Taiwan without needing to get a visa for a stay of up to ninety (90) days (no extensions permitted) as long as you have a passport valid for at least six months beyond the date of entry into Taiwan and have a confirmed return or onward air ticket.
- Visa required for non-U.S. citizens before you go to Taiwan:
- Check this page here at the Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs to see if you need to get a visa for Taiwan.
- Where to find the Taiwan Embassy or Consulate closest to your place of residence:
- If you’re inside the U.S., click here on this page to Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) that services your State. Note that TECO has offices in Washington D.C., Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Guam, Honolulu, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco, and Seattle.
