How to Get a Business Visa for Papua New Guinea

Papua New Guinea Business Visa

Papua New Guinea Business Visa

Are you traveling to Papua New Guinea on business?  You might need to get a Business Visa before you go.  It will all depend on what country you are from.

As stated here at the website for the Papua New Guinea Immigration and Citizenship Service Authority, you can get a Business Visa (also known as the Business Entry Permit) for Papua New Guinea to attend business meetings, board meetings, conferences, conduct an exploratory business visit or participate in business negotiation.

(Go to my Papua New Guinea visa page for information on other types of visas for Papua New Guinea.)

I’ll break everything down for you below about how to go about getting the Papua New Guinea Business Visa.

  • Visa required for U.S. citizens before you go to Papua New Guinea:  No.
    • U.S. citizens can get business or tourist visas (valid for stays of up to 60 days, with extensions available for an additional 30 days) upon arrival at Jacksons International Airport in Port Moresby.
  • Visa required for non-U.S. citizens before you go to Papua New Guinea:
    • If your country is listed on this page here, you can get a visa upon arrival.  Otherwise, you need to apply for a visa before your trip.
1
Find your consulate

If you’re inside the U.S.:

Embassy of Papua New Guinea

If you’re outside of the U.S.:  Click here.

2
Gather the required documents
  • Note that the official visa forms are all located on this page.
3
Visa Fee
  • I’m not sure if it is intentional or not, but the latest visa fees are very hard to find on all of the consulate and embassy websites and even the official Immigration website.  The Embassy of Papua New Guinea in Washington D.C. actually makes you call them up to find the latest visa fee???.  I have no clue why they can’t just list it on their website to make it easier for everyone.
  • I recommend you call up the Embassy or Consulate you found in Step 1 in order to find out the latest visa fees.
4
Submit your materials
  • Submission instructions will vary from consulate to consulate and embassy to embassy, so you will need to check the submission instructions at the website of the embassy or consulate you found in Step 1.
5
Congratulations!

The Embassy or Consulate of Papua New Guinea will give to you your brand new Papua New Guinea visa.
