How to Get a National Visa for Greece

Greece National Visa

Greece National Visa

The National Visa for Greece is for people who want to stay in the country for longer than 90 days. This type of visa is also known as the Long Stay visa for Greece.

Unfortunately, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece was too lazy to write out all the requirements in a simplified manner. They would rather have you read a boring 42 page pdf file.

I’m going to cut through the B.S. and give you the steps here on this page. The following types of visas fall into the National Visa category.

  • Temporary Residence Permits
  • “One Year” Residence Permit
  • Residence Permit Based on the Marriage of a U.S. Citizen to a Greek National or a European Citizen
  • Residence Permit for Studies (student visa)
  • Residence and Work Permits For the Self-Employed
  • Residence and Work Permits for Private Firm

Go to my Greece visa page for information about other types of visas for Greece.
