I’ll break everything down for you below about how to go about getting the Ghana Diplomatic Visa.
If you’re inside the U.S.:
Ghana Embassy in Washington D.C.
Consular services are also available at the Ghana Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York, NY and the Honorary Consulate of Ghana in Houston, TX.
If you’re outside of the U.S.: Click here.
The best list of required documents if you are applying within the U.S. is here at the Ghana Embassy website. Go to the consulate or embassy website you found in Step 1 to get the visa requirements that apply to people living in your country.
- Note that in most cases, the visa will be free of charge.
- The visa fee will depend on where you are applying from and if you want single or multiple entries.
- Good practice is to call up the embassy or consulate you found in Step 1 to confirm the fee amounts as they are always subject to change.
- If you are applying within the United States, the visa fees are posted here at the Ghana Embassy website.
- Submit your required materials from Step 2 and visa fee from Step 3 to the embassy or consulate you found in Step 1.
- Each consulate and embassy will have different application submission instructions. For example, at the Ghana Embassy in Washington D.C., you have the choice of submitting your application by mail or in person.
Congratulations! The Embassy or Consulate of Ghana will give to you your brand new Ghana visa.
