Finland Transit Visa
Going through Finland en route to another country? Depending on what country you are from, you might need to get a Transit Visa for Finland.

I’ll break everything down for you below about how to go about how to get the Transit Visa for Finland.
Visa required for U.S. citizens before you go to Finland: No.
- Finland is a party to the Schengen agreement.
- Because of this, U.S. citizens may enter Finland for up to 90 days for tourist or business purposes without a visa.
- Your passport should be valid for at least three months beyond the period of stay.
- You need sufficient funds and a return airline ticket.
Visa required for non-U.S. citizens before you go to Finland: Check this list at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Finland to see if you need to get a visa before you go.
- If you’re inside the U.S.: You have the Embassy of Finland in Washington D.C. and the Finland Consulates General in New York and Los Angeles. Select your consulate here based on the State you live in.
- If you’re outside of the U.S.: Click here.

Submit your required materials from Step 2 and visa fee from Step 3 to the Embassy or Consulate you found in Step 1.
