Here’s all you need to know to apply for a Cambodian Tourist Visa:
What is the Validity of the Cambodia Tourist Visa?
Tourist Visas are valid for 30 days and can be extended for another 30 days.
Who Needs To Apply?
- Is a visa required for U.S. citizens? Yes! You can obtain a simple tourist visa for Cambodia online here at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website before you go or upon arrival in Cambodia (takes 15-30 minutes at the airport).
- Is a visa required for non-U.S. citizens? Yes! As noted here, everyone who does not hold a Cambodian passport needs a visa to enter the country. The only exceptions are citizens of Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. Non-U.S. tourists can get it here at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website.
- Go to my Cambodia visa page for information on how to get a different type of visa for Cambodia.
How to Apply?
I recommend you get your visa online here by paying online as the Immigration officials have been known to rip people off at the Cambodian border posts.
You can also get a visa on arrival at the airports in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and at all major border crossings. Here are the instructions for that.
Make your way over to the Immigration Department in front of Phnom Penh Airport.
Don’t get sick! Click here for the latest information on any required vaccines for your stay in Cambodia from the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
