Costa Rica Tourist Visa
Going to Costa Rica for some rest and relaxation? You might need to get a tourist visa for Costa Rica.

I’ll break everything down for you below about how to get the Costa Rica Tourist Visa.
Visa required for U.S. citizens: No visa needed for stays up to 90 days (tourist or business purposes). All you need is:
- A current valid passport.
- A return ticket to exit Costa Rica (either to return to your country or to go to another country)
Visa required for non-U.S. citizens: If you are not a U.S. citizen, check this page here to see if you need a visa (search by your nationality)

Submit your required materials from Step 2 to the embassy or consulate you found in Step 1.
- Each consulate and embassy will have different hours of operations and visa application submission procedures. Contact you’re the embassy or consulate you found in step 1 to find out more information.
- Congratulations! That’s it!
- The consulate has 30 days to process your visa application.
