How to Get a Business Visa for Mali

Mali Business Visa

Mali Business Visa

Below I will describe how to get a visa to Mali if you are going on business. The process is the same as getting the Tourist Visa for Mali.  Remember that U.S. Citizens are eligible for up to a (5) years multiple-entry visa.

  • Visa required for U.S. citizens before you go to Mali:  Yes.  US Citizens are eligible for up to a (5) years multiple-entry visa.
  • Visa required for non-U.S. citizens:  Visas are not required for citizens of Algeria, Andorra, Cameroon, Chad, Gambia, Mauritania, Monaco, Morocco, Tunisia, and ECOWAS states (Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo)
  • For all other countries, a visa must be obtained before arrival to enter Mali.
1
Find your closest consulate

If you’re inside the U.S.:

Click here to go to the Embassy of Mali website.

If you’re outside of the U.S.: Click here

2
Gather documentation

The official list of required documents, if you are applying within the United States is here. I’ve also provided a quick and dirty list below.

  • A valid passport
  • Two (2) recent passport size photographs (Glue them to the application forms)
  • Two (2) completed application forms
  • A copy of your yellow fever certificate
  • Self-addressed prepaid return envelope of USPS Express Mail so that the consulate can return your visa.
3
Visa fees

US Citizens:

  • I recommend you go to your nearest Post Office and get a U.S. Postal Service Money Order. This will be payable to the “Embassy of Mali”.
  • You can also pay by cashier’s check.
  • It is always good practice to double check the latest fees here at the Embassy website.
4
Submit your documents

Submit your required materials and visa fee from Steps 2 and 3 to the consulate you found in Step 1.

5
Receive your visa

Congratulations! The Mali Consulate will give to you your brand new visa for Mali.
