An Eritrea student visa is for those people who are coming to Eritrea to study. You will need to have authenticated education certificates and documents and a school that will take responsibility for your education in Eritrea.

Visa required for U.S. citizens: Yes.
Visa required for non-U.S. citizens: All foreigners need to get a visa in order to enter Eritrea, EXCEPT those people from Kenya and Uganda.

Submit your required materials from Step 2 and the visa fee from Step 3 to the consulate you found in Step 1.
Congratulations! The Embassy of Eritrea will give to you your brand new Eritrea visa.
- You will need to go to the Tourist Information Centre on Liberation Avenue in Asmara to get a travel permit to travel anywhere outside of Asmara.
You can extend your visa twice (each time for an additional 30 days). Make sure you bring a passport photo and a copy of your passport with visa page to the Eritrea Department of Immigration and Nationality.
