How to Get a Business Visa For Burundi

Burundi Business Visa

Burundi Business Visa

Interested in going to Burundi on Business?  This tiny, land-locked country bordered by Tanzania and Rwanda is not the first place that comes to mind when one thinks of Africa.  It does have some hidden gems though.  I’ll explain the steps how to get a business visa for Burundi below.

Note that, although I recommend you get your visa before arriving, visas are available at Bujumbura airport and at border crossings. You can get either the 3-day transit visa or the multiple entry 1-month visitor visa upon arrival.

Visa required for U.S. citizens: Yes.

Visa required for non-U.S. citizens:  Everyone needs a visa for Burundi EXCEPT nationals from Uganda and those who hold a Communaute des Pays des Grand Lacs card (i.e. Burundi, Congo and Rwanda)

Go to my Burundi visa page for information on the different types of visas for Burundi.
