Jamaica Work Visa
Here are the steps for getting a work visa for Jamaica:
Get a job with a Jamaican company/employer.
The Jamaican company/employer will need to apply to for a work permit as described here.
After you get confirmation that the work permit has been issued to you, find out which consulate is responsible for your jurisdiction.
If you’re outside of the U.S., find out at this site here.
If you’re inside the U.S, there are 4 places where you can apply for visas.
- New York, NY
- Chicago, IL
- Washington, D.C.
- Miami, FL
I recommend contacting your consulate ahead of time.
Depending on the consulate you might be required to make an appointment to apply in person. Contact your consulate ahead of time to find out details on whether you will need to make an appointment in order to submit an application or if you can apply by mail.
