Antigua and Barbuda Work Visa
I’ll show you how below the overall steps on how to get a work visa for Antigua & Barbuda.
Work visas for this location are tricky. You can’t apply for them directly. An employer in Antigua or Barbuda is required by law to try and fill the position locally first. Only if no suitable candidates are located locally, the employer has to apply for a work permit for a foreigner to fill the position. They have to do this through the Commissioner of Labour, Ministry of Labour, St John’s, Antigua.

Secure a job with an Antigua employer.
Get your employer to apply for a work permit at the Ministry of Labour on your behalf.
- More specifics on the work permit process are located here.
- Work permits are normally valid for up to 1 year.
- The cost of a work permit will depend on the position you hold inside the company.
Gather the required documents (get help from your employer).
After a waiting period, and assuming everything is satisfactory, the Ministry of Labour will issue you your work permit.
