If you are traveling to Zimbabwe for a short stay as a tourist, you might need to secure a Tourist Visa depending on what country you are from.
(Go to my Zimbabwe visa page for information on other types of visas for Zimbabwe.)
I’ll break everything down for you below about how to go about getting the Zimbabwe Tourist Visa.
- Visa required for U.S. citizens before you go to Zimbabwe: No.
- Zimbabwean Immigration officials at Harare airport and other ports of entry are authorized to admit U.S. citizens without an entry visa.
- Any U.S. citizen who intends to undertake any activity that does not involve pure tourism (e.g. visiting Victoria Falls), however minor the planned deviation, is strongly urged to obtain the appropriate visa outside Zimbabwe prior to traveling to Zimbabwe.
- Zimbabwe requires travelers who have visited or traveled through countries or areas with yellow fever risk to present proof of yellow fever vaccination.
- Visa required for non-U.S. citizens before you go to Zimbabwe:
- Check this list.
- The official list of required supporting documents is here at the Zimbabwe Department of Immigration, but you should definitely check the website of the Consulate or Embassy you found in Step 1 above to confirm what is required for you.
- Official visa fees are listed here at the Zimbabwe Department of Immigration.
- Submission instructions will vary from consulate to consulate and embassy to embassy, so you will need to check the submission instructions at the website of the embassy or consulate you found in Step 1.
Congratulations! The Embassy or Consulate of Zimbabwe will give to you your brand new Zimbabwe visa.
Don’t get sick! Check vaccination requirements here.
