Kuwait Transit Visa
If you are heading through Kuwait en route to another destination, you might need to get a Transit Visa. If you scroll down on this page here at the Kuwait Ministry, you will find a good write-up on the latest fees and what is required to get this type of visa.

I’ll break everything down for you below about how to go about getting the Kuwait Transit Visa.
- Visa required for U.S. citizens before you go to Kuwait: No.
- If you are a U.S. citizen, you can get a visa on arrival in Kuwait. There is no need to get one beforehand.
- Visa required for non-U.S. citizens before you go to Kuwait:
- If you are on this list at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, you DO NOT need to get a visa before you go to Kuwait.
- If you’re inside the U.S, click here to find the embassy or consulate that services your jurisdiction.
- If you’re outside of the U.S., click here.
- As mentioned here at the Kuwait Ministry, the main thing is to be sure to have a valid visa for your onward destination, but be sure to check the website of the Consulate or Embassy you found in Step 1 above to confirm what is required for you.

- The official visa fees are listed here, but visa fees might vary depending on where you apply, so go to the website of the Embassy or Consulate you found in Step 1.
- If you are applying in the United States, your visa fees are here.
- Submission instructions will vary from consulate to consulate and embassy to embassy, so you will need to check the submission instructions at the website of the embassy or consulate you found in Step 1.
Congratulations! The Embassy or Consulate of Kuwait will give to you your brand new Kuwait visa.
