Lithuania Short Stay Visa
Going to Lithuania for a short stay of up to 90 days? You might need to get a Short Stay Visa (i.e. Schengen Visa Type C) depending on what country you are from.
Most people who get the Short Stay Visa for Lithuania are going there for tourism or business.

I’ll break everything down for you below about how to go about getting the Lithuania Short Stay Visa.
- Visa required for U.S. citizens before you go to Lithuania: No.
- Lithuania is a party to the Schengen Agreement. As such, U.S. citizens for business or tourism are permitted to stay in the Schengen area for 90 days without a visa within a six-month period.
- All foreigners from non-European Union countries seeking entry into Lithuania must carry proof of a medical insurance policy contracted for payment of all costs of hospitalization and medical treatment in Lithuania.
- Visa required for non-U.S. citizens before you go to Lithuania:
- If you are on this list, you do not need to get a visa for Lithuania.
- If you’re inside the U.S., you will need to refer to the Lithuania embassy or consulate that services your State (based on your jurisdiction).
- If you’re outside of the U.S.: Click here.
- Check the website of the Consulate or Embassy you found in Step 1 above to confirm what is required for you.
- People who will be applying in the United States can use this list as a good guideline of the required documents.
- Visa fees might vary depending on where you apply, so go to the website of the Embassy or Consulate you found in Step 1.
