Luxembourg Short Stay Schengen Visa
If you are traveling to Luxembourg for a short stay of up to 90 days, you might need to get a Short Stay Visa (i.e. Schengen Visa Type C) depending on what country you are from.
Most people who get the Luxembourg Short Stay visa are going there for tourism or business purposes.

I’ll break everything down for you below about how to go about getting the Luxembourg Short Stay Visa.
- Visa required for U.S. citizens before you go to Luxembourg: No
- Luxembourg is a party to the Schengen Agreement. As such, U.S. citizens for business or tourism are permitted to stay in the Schengen area for 90 days without a visa within a six-month period.
- Visa required for non-U.S. citizens before you go to Luxembourg:
- If you are on this list, you need to get a visa before you visit Luxembourg.
- If you’re inside the U.S., find your jurisdiction based on the State you live in.
- If you’re outside of the U.S.: Click here.
The official list of required supporting documents is here at the Luxembourg Business Portal, but you should definitely check the website of the Consulate or Embassy you found in Step 1 above to confirm what is required for you.
