If you are traveling to Latvia for a short stay of up to 90 days, you might need to get a Short Stay Visa (i.e. Schengen Visa Type C) depending on what country you are from.
Most people who get the Latvia Short Stay visa are going there for tourism or business purposes.

I’ll break everything down for you below about how to go about getting the Latvia Short Stay Visa.
- Visa required for U.S. citizens before you go to Latvia: No
- Latvia is a party to the Schengen Agreement. As such, U.S. citizens for business or tourism are permitted to stay in the Schengen area for 90 days without a visa within a six-month period.
- Visa required for non-U.S. citizens before you go to Latvia:
- If you are on this list, you DO NOT need to get a visa before you go to Latvia.

- Official visa fees are listed here at the Latvia Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but visa fees might vary depending on where you apply, so go to the website of the Embassy or Consulate you found in Step 1.
- Submission instructions will vary from consulate to consulate and embassy to embassy, so you will need to check the submission instructions at the website of the embassy or consulate you found in Step 1.
Congratulations! The Embassy or Consulate of Latvia will give to you your brand new Latvia visa.
