Do you have a business trip planned for Malawi? If so, depending on where you are from, you might need to get a business visa. As you will note here at the Malawi Department of Immigration, this type of visa/permit is valid for 30 days and may be extended for a further 60 days upon application and payment of the appropriate fees.
