Panama Business Visa
Going to Panama on business? You might need to get a business visa depending on where you are from.

I’ll break everything down for you below about how to go about getting the Panama Business Visa.
Visa required for U.S. citizens before you go to Panama: No.
- U.S. tourists arriving by air or road are permitted to stay in Panama for 180 days, without obtaining a visa.
- To obtain a multiple entry visa for Panama, you are going to need to apply for one through the Panamanian Embassy or a Panamanian Consulate before traveling.
- U.S. citizens transiting the Panama Canal as passengers, regardless of their intention to disembark from the ship or not, do not need to obtain visas or pay any fees.
- U.S. citizens arriving in Panama via private vessel or plane may obtain a pre-stamped visa from a Panamanian Embassy or Consulate.
Visa required for non-U.S. citizens before you go to Panama:
- Check this page here from the Embassy of Panama to see if you need a visa to enter.
- The official list of required documents is provided here at the Panama Department of Immigration (note that it is in Spanish, so I recommend you use a translate tool like Google Translate to turn it into your language).
- You should definitely check the website of the Consulate or Embassy you found in Step 1 above to confirm the required documents.
- The Embassy of Panama in Washington D.C. has this ridiculously long list of required documents here.
- Visa fees might vary depending on where you apply, so go to the website of the Embassy or Consulate you found in Step 1 to find out the latest.
- If you are applying in the U.S., the latest visa fees are listed here at the bottom of this page in very small print that is difficult to read.
Submit your required materials from Step 2 and visa fee from Step 3 to the Embassy or Consulate you found in Step 1.
