How to Get a Family Visa for Cuba

Cuba Family Visa

Cuba Family Visa

As stated here, the Cuba Family Visa is for the spouses and children of Cuban citizens holding any other nationality who travel to Cuba to stay at the home of their Cuban relatives.

(Go to my Cuba visa page for information on other types of visas for Cuba.)

I’ll outline the simple process below:

1
Find your closest consulate

If you’re inside the U.S.:

Embassy of Cuba

Also, you can check out the Department of Treasury site for some super-detailed information on Cuba for U.S. citizens

If you’re outside of the U.S.:  Click here to go to the proper pages on the Cuban Mission website.

2
Gather documentation

The best list of required documents if you are applying within the U.S. is here at the Cuban Mission website.

3
Submit information

Submit your required materials and visa fee from Step 2 to the embassy or consulate you found in Step 1.

If you want to apply by mail, don’t forget to enclose a self-addressed prepaid return envelope.

4
Receive your visa

Congratulations!  The Embassy of Cuba will give to you your brand new Cuba visa.

  • If you applied in person, go pick it up.
  • If you applied by mail, wait until it gets to you.
5
Vaccination information
